RSS Aggregators
RSS Aggregators collect RSS (Really Simple Syndication) 'feeds' into one location. They're used to 'subscribe' to blogs and other feeds (news, etc) that are all over the Internet
Google Reader - also part of the Google Apps suite. You will need to have a Google account.You can organize feeds by folders, and make some folders public in order to share your feeds with students, and visa versa
Netvibes - Collect feeds into tabs. Make some tabs (or isolated widgets) public to be able to share them with students.
Pageflakes - Similar to Netvibes. A good choice. Lots of fun widgets
